Corten steel site walls support tall hornbeam hedges on two sides of this compact waterside site, creating minimalist garden spaces. A corten gate, flanked by a bayberry hedge, opens to a granite sett parking court, bordered on two sides by London planetrees. A stepping stone path leads through a second bayberry hedge and a grove of sweetbay magnolia trees to the front door of the house. Adjacent to the entry walk, a corten garden gate opens to the swimming pool terrace featuring a planting of equistim with bridges to the house. An ipe deck surrounds the house on three sides, providing kayak storage, water access and views to the harbor landscape. Harborside terraced planters featuring native spartina marsh grass step down to the bulkhead, creating a seasonally dynamic planting.
